Chapter 111: Look, Jiang Muye Is Just a Tsundere

After Being Rejected 99 Times, the Aloof Campus Belle Forcefully Flirted With Me — Jiang Muye

Boss Cutie

The smile hanging on Xia Xiran's lips stiffened.

Glasses Girl was quite displeased. "You think we're short one friend? Xiran sacrificed that much for you, so why aren't you moved at all!"

"Of course I'm moved. But to be with her just because I'm moved — is that fair to me, or to her?" Jiang Muye looked Glasses Girl straight in the eye and struck back sharply.

"Have you ever walked through a night eight degrees below zero? Ever stood at a street corner in freezing rain, drinking forty-six proof liquor and bawling your eyes out? Have you ever loved someone you couldn't have, so painfully it tore you apart? Have you ever missed someone who keeps you at arm's length, with no way to let it out? If you haven't, then you've got no right to point fingers at me, or to tear into me about anything."

Jiang Muye looked at Xia Xiran wearily, his voice hoarse. "Xia Xiran, I'm tired. I don't want to wait anymore. Why won't you let me move forward? No one's going to just stand there waiting like a fool forever. This heart of mine has been hurt, has ached, has gone numb. It can't keep beating for you anymore, can't feel any of your good or bad anymore."

Kai nodded straight away. "Muzi doesn't owe you anything. He's truly done everything he could for you. Besides, isn't reporting that kind of thing something every law-abiding citizen ought to do? Ask yourself — if you hadn't run into Muzi, would you have reported it right away?"

Xia Xiran's lips quivered. She wanted to say something, but felt that whatever she said would be pale and hollow.

Muzi's words had struck right at the heart of it.

Little White Dove said, "Your first thought was still just about yourself. If not for your guilty conscience, or for the chance to put on a good show in front of Muzi, maybe you wouldn't even have reported Jin Geng."

"Enough!" Jiang Muye snapped.

The whole hall fell dead silent.

Little White Dove and the others stared in astonishment at Jiang Muye, whose eyes had gone red.

Jiang Muye's eyes lost their light. He said obscurely, "The outcome is that she helped me, that she chose me. And that's enough."

This was the girl he had loved so deeply.

However unbearable she was, could he really bear to let others spit on her and tear her down?

Xia Xiran's eyes were already wet. She shook her head and wept. "I'm sorry, Muye…"

"It's fine. It's not actually important. It doesn't matter anymore." Jiang Muye's tone was very calm. Then he pretended to speak lightly to the police, "Sorry you had to see that. Let's start the statements now."

After the statements were done, Jiang Muye glanced at Xia Xiran, whose eyes were red and puffy, and said, "Let's go. I'll take you to the hotel."

Xia Xiran nodded, and she and Glasses Girl followed Jiang Muye and the others.

Jiang Muye arranged the best hotel rooms near the police station for Xia Xiran and Glasses Girl. Once they were settled, Xia Xiran, upon learning that Jiang Muye was about to leave, stepped forward and reluctantly tugged at the hem of his clothes.

Jiang Muye pulled his clothes free indifferently and said lightly, "It's late. Get some sleep."

"…Okay." Though Xia Xiran felt somewhat disappointed.

She just watched Jiang Muye leave, no light in her eyes.

Glasses Girl felt uncomfortable watching it, so she said to Xia Xiran, "Look, Jiang Muye is just a tsundere."

"A tsundere?"

"Meaning he says one thing and means another. Can't you see he's just using you to vent his anger? He's angry that you wouldn't accept his proposal, so he's obviously clinging to a few Campus Belles to piss you off, to deliberately make you jealous."

Glasses Girl's words let Xia Xiran see hope.

Xia Xiran's whole being came alive, and she grew excited. "Is that really how it is?"

"Of course. How could he possibly ignore you after proposing for the ninety-ninth time? He's obviously just putting on an act. We've all been fooled by him. Right now he's got a vengeful streak and wants to see you anxious. The more he wants to cut ties with you clean, the more it proves how much he likes you!"

Xia Xiran murmured, "No wonder he's so heartless to me now."

"Xiran, just play along with him. Play along to the end, and he'll definitely come coax you. He can't be a heartbreaker and really abandon his fiancée to get together with some Cold Campus Belle — that'd make him a fickle, heartless scumbag!"

"Right. I'm the one who's his fiancée in name. What right does he have to get a girlfriend? Without my consent, there's no way he can be with Leng Ruoli." Xia Xiran told Glasses Girl stubbornly, "He likes me so much right now, so I'll just keep chasing him, and he'll definitely make up with me soon."

Glasses Girl nodded straight away. "I support you."

Xia Xiran saw hope, and her whole mood began to improve.

However, the current Jiang Muye had no idea what Xia Xiran was thinking. He just took his brothers to the villa and slept like a log.

With the mastermind caught, Jiang Muye could finally get a peaceful night's sleep.

The next day, brilliant sunlight blanketed the magnificent garden, then slowly trickled along the branches and leaves into the tightly shut windows.

"Beep beep—" The phone alarm went off, immediately disturbing Little White Dove, who was sleeping alongside Jiang Muye.

Little White Dove, bare-chested, grumbled irritably, "Who sets an alarm this early in the morning! So noisy."

"I have to get back to school." Jiang Muye snatched up the phone, turned off the alarm, and started getting dressed.

Last night this guy had insisted on not sleeping in his own big room, and had to squeeze into the same bed with him, saying the villa was too big and he was scared to sleep alone. Jiang Muye had been helpless against his pestering and could only let Little White Dove lie down.

Little White Dove had no idea that after putting up with his snoring, Jiang Muye would then have to put up with his morning grumpiness.

Jiang Muye regretted it deeply.

Ugh, what's the point of sleeping with a guy?

He should be wrapping his arms around a sweet-smelling girl.

Squeeze her waist, smell her hair, cop a feel, plant a kiss — pure bliss.

Ugh, how had he sunk to sharing a bed with Little White Dove?

Little White Dove asked sleepily, "Back to school my ass, there's no class."

"But I made plans to eat with Leng Ruoli. There's no way I'd stand her up." Jiang Muye glanced at the wardrobe and specially picked out a light pink shirt. It looked lively, and would make him look a bit younger too.

Little White Dove blurted, "Holy shit. Dog food this early in the morning. Wants the great beauty and not his bros. Then how are we getting back?"

"There are coins on the table. Figure it out yourself."

"Values beauty over friends."

"If you were a pretty girl, I'd cherish you too." Jiang Muye shot Little White Dove a sidelong glance.

Who doesn't like pretty girls? He was a man.

If he wasn't going after pretty girls, was he supposed to make do with a bro? As if. What could a bro do — sleep with him, or keep him entertained?

Jiang Muye put a bit of mousse in his hair, then used a straightener to curl the ends slightly, making himself look trendier and cooler.

Once his styling was done, Jiang Muye slung his crossbody bag over his shoulder and headed out.

He got into his Silver Phantom sports car, and in under ten minutes Jiang Muye arrived at the school cafeteria.

Jiang Muye sent Leng Ruoli a voice message: "I'm here. Where are you?"

"I'm here too!" A voice sweet to the ear rang out.

She was here?

Jiang Muye's eyes searched for a moment.

Finally, he spotted the lovely figure walking over carrying a big box of something.

Her skin was like congealed cream, like a Bird of Paradise in full, gorgeous bloom — a beauty stunning to behold, stirring to the heart.

When she saw him, she broke into a radiant, enchanting smile, then quickly walked over carrying the things.

The things were too heavy, and she was clearly struggling with them. Her full peaks bounced with every step, a sight that drew the eye, and even her slender, long legs moved more clumsily than before.

Jiang Muye hurried forward and took the box from Leng Ruoli.

He asked, puzzled, "What did you bring?" He hefted it — the weight was okay, but for a girl it was quite heavy.
