Chapter 195: He Just Wants to Find an Excuse to Kiss
Boss Cutie
Jiang Muye was excited beyond belief. Restless with anticipation, he wrapped his arm around Leng Ruoli's waist and leaned in to kiss her—but she shyly turned her face away, leaving him grasping at air.
"What's wrong?" Jiang Muye's voice had gone hoarse. He didn't understand.
"Who said anything about kissing?" Leng Ruoli tugged at her flushed little ear, reminding him in embarrassment, "I'm putting lipstick on you to see if you're allergic."
"No way. I'm a guy—why would I wear lipstick?"
Da-meh! Absolutely not!
He'd only been looking for an excuse to steal a proper kiss from his little girlfriend.
"You only know if you're allergic after it goes right on your lips," Leng Ruoli said, utterly serious.
Jiang Muye teased, "No need for all that trouble. There's a more direct way of going mouth-to-mouth, isn't there?"
His gaze locked straight onto Leng Ruoli's red lips.
Under that stare, Leng Ruoli grew hot and flustered. "The salesgirl is watching," she whispered.
"Let her watch. What of it—are people not allowed to be in love?" Jiang Muye snorted.
They were in the honeymoon phase of their relationship right now.
Every day, all he wanted was to kiss her, hold her, touch her.
Leng Ruoli patted him with her little hand. "Alright, stop messing around~"
Seeing that she was genuinely embarrassed—her skin nowhere near as thick as his—Jiang Muye stopped teasing her. "Why bother picking a shade? We'll take them all."
"Huh?" Leng Ruoli was a little startled.
Then she saw Jiang Muye walk straight over to the salesgirl. She didn't know what he said, but the salesgirl began packing up every last lipstick.
Watching the lipsticks being boxed up in a full, bulging haul, Leng Ruoli was stunned by the maneuver.
She stepped forward and gave Jiang Muye's clothes a light tug, saying shyly, "Isn't that too many?"
"Not many at all. I'm going to try a different flavor every day." Jiang Muye deliberately put heavy emphasis on the word "flavor."
Hearing that, Leng Ruoli grew even more embarrassed. "But I couldn't use them all up!"
"Use whichever you like. Anyway, whatever other girls have, my baby has to have too." Jiang Muye ruffled the back of Leng Ruoli's head affectionately.
Wasn't loving someone about wanting to bring them the very best of everything?
Besides, he had the means—so why wouldn't he?
Hearing Jiang Muye's domineering words, Leng Ruoli felt wonderful.
Who didn't enjoy being doted on by their boyfriend? She was no exception.
Jiang Muye then had the salesgirl pack up other cosmetics too—he bought more than a dozen sets in a row. Things like La Mer Essence Cream, Lancôme makeup, Estée Lauder skincare sets, the Little Light Bulb, Fairy Water—naturally, he bought them all.
"That's too much~" Leng Ruoli was dumbfounded. She shook Jiang Muye's arm.
"Too much? Not at all." Jiang Muye didn't think anything of it.
This was barely a start.
After the salesgirl finished packing everything up, Jiang Muye instinctively reached for the shopping bags.
Seeing Jiang Muye loaded down with big and small bags, Leng Ruoli immediately stepped forward to help. "Let me carry some with you."
But Jiang Muye just laughed and shook his head. "This is nothing. It's not heavy at all—I can definitely carry it all."
"No, give it to me. I'll help you carry it." Leng Ruoli was insistent.
Seeing her red lips pucker slightly, Jiang Muye's mouth curved up. Instinctively, he turned sideways and motioned with his eyes. "If you want to carry something, then carry me off. Take me wherever you go."
Hearing that, Leng Ruoli's ears turned bright red. She stepped forward and actually grabbed the hem of Jiang Muye's shirt, saying to him in an utterly serious tone, "Don't worry. You'd better not even think about shaking me off for the rest of this life."
How could she bear to let go of a happiness she'd fought so hard to grasp?
Hearing that, Jiang Muye's heart swelled with a heavy, weighty happiness.
Who would have thought that at that very moment, Leng Ruoli would launch a sneak attack—she snatched several bags and hugged them to her chest.
"Oh? Taking advantage of the moment?" Jiang Muye raised an eyebrow, teasing her.
"What of it, taking advantage of the moment? Anyway, since you're buying them for me, then we'll carry the things together." Leng Ruoli lifted her pretty face, her eyes slightly raised.
"Alright, whatever you say. Come on—now your husband's taking you to buy clothes." Jiang Muye reached out and firmly grasped Leng Ruoli's fair little hand.
"What, you're still taking me to buy clothes?" Leng Ruoli's eyes went wide.
Then, hearing how he'd referred to himself, her face grew hot.
"What of it? I'm taking you to eat something good too." Jiang Muye snorted. "My wife stood up for me—of course I have to reward her properly."
"You already knew?" Leng Ruoli was terribly embarrassed.
"Who's your husband? How could I not know?" Jiang Muye reached out and flicked Leng Ruoli's little nose. She gave a cute, innocent laugh, sweet as vanilla mousse.
"Come on, let's go buy clothes." Jiang Muye's brows lifted, and he smugly led his girlfriend up to the clothing section on the upper floor.
The moment they walked in, a salesgirl warmly welcomed Jiang Muye and Leng Ruoli.
After setting all the bags down, Jiang Muye accompanied Leng Ruoli as she started looking at clothes.
"How about this dress?" Leng Ruoli took a bodycon dress off the rack and held it up for Jiang Muye to see.
"No." Jiang Muye shook his head.
That was way too short.
Every guy liked looking at girls wearing that kind of thing, but who'd want to see their own girlfriend in it—especially once she went out and other guys got an eyeful?
Jiang Muye felt he'd be taking a loss.
Heh heh, even if she wore it, it should be for his eyes only.
"Then how about this one?" Leng Ruoli took down another knit dress and asked Jiang Muye.
Jiang Muye was still shaking his head. "No."
The chest slit was way too wide—it felt like it'd put her cleavage on full display, everything laid bare. How much would be showing?
This kind was absolutely not allowed. Especially since Leng Ruoli was so well-endowed—if anything spilled out, how many guys would get nosebleeds?
"And this dress, is it okay?" Leng Ruoli picked up a long dress. It looked pretty conservative, but Jiang Muye spotted the problem—the side slit went extremely high, practically showing off her long, fair legs outright.
And it had a bit of a qipao-inspired design to it—not the curvy, form-fitting kind, but never mind that: the shoulders were held up by a single strap, and the amount of skin on display was sky-high.
"Not that one either." Jiang Muye definitely wouldn't loosen his stance.
"Then this one has to be okay, right?" After looking around, Leng Ruoli found a light blue dress to show Jiang Muye.
"This one's fine." The moment Jiang Muye spoke, he noticed Leng Ruoli was struggling to hold back her laughter.
Jiang Muye: ???
Then Leng Ruoli flipped the dress around to show him. "Great, since you said so, I'm buying it~ And I'll wear it out later!"
One look, and Jiang Muye regretted it.
So there was a hidden trick to it.
This dress was completely backless—it went all the way down to the hips.
Considering that Leng Ruoli's back was beautiful as a pearl-porcelain vase—the kind of gorgeous back that made you feel it was a waste if an old master didn't cup it a few times—wearing this out, how many guys could even look away?
Jiang Muye was extremely possessive.
Anyway, his girlfriend couldn't bare her back, couldn't wear such revealing clothes.
Jiang Muye said without the slightest hesitation, "No, she can't wear this."
"Why not? Didn't you already agree?" Watching Jiang Muye snatch the dress away, Leng Ruoli's lips curved upward, unable to hide her satisfaction.
