Chapter 198: I Pretend to Look Around at the Scenery, but My Eyes Are Only on You
Rejected 99 Times, the Aloof Campus Belle Comes On Strong
Boss Cutie
He tapped his lips with a finger.
Seeing his action, Leng Ruoli was overcome with embarrassment. She gave Jiang Muye a light kick with her foot. "Hmph, you tricked me!"
Looking at Leng Ruoli's puffed-up face, Jiang Muye couldn't help but smile.
He reached around from behind and wrapped his arms around Leng Ruoli's slender waist, coaxing softly by her ear, "My fault. Then let me give you a little compensation."
Leng Ruoli's eyes lit up. "What little compensation?"
A smile playing at the corners of his mouth, Jiang Muye took Leng Ruoli's finger and pressed it onto his phone screen. Soon, words appeared on the page indicating the fingerprint had been successfully registered.
Leng Ruoli was slightly surprised, and the corners of Jiang Muye's mouth curled up. "Now my phone has your fingerprint recorded. From now on, I'll have to find you to unlock it. No matter how far you are, I'll have to find you."
He paused, then breathed a puff of air against Leng Ruoli's round little ear. "Also, as long as your fingerprint is there, you can open my phone. It'll be convenient for you to check up on me whenever you want."
Jiang Muye had thought Leng Ruoli would be especially happy, but who would have known that she would instead rub his neck and plant a smacking kiss directly on his cheek, saying in a very sincere tone, "I won't check up on you or look at your phone."
"Hm?" Jiang Muye was still surprised. "Don't all girls like to look at their boyfriends' phones?"
"I'm not one of those girls." Leng Ruoli's eyelashes fluttered slightly as she said seriously, "I trust you. Why would I need to check your phone?"
She was very clear that Jiang Muye would never betray her, would never go out and casually flirt with those girls.
So there was no need for that step of checking his phone.
Besides, what could checking a phone salvage anyway? Could a heart that had run off be caught again? It would only make the cracks between them deeper.
After hearing Leng Ruoli's words, Jiang Muye gently rubbed his forehead against hers, smiling. "Okay."
"For fairness, give me your hand." Leng Ruoli grabbed Jiang Muye's phone and registered her fingerprint on his phone.
"I have confidence in you. No need to check your phone." Jiang Muye answered frankly.
Leng Ruoli burst out laughing. "Who said it was for you to check? Can't I use it to play games for you and crush noobs?"
"You little clever one." Jiang Muye laughed and tightened his arms around Leng Ruoli's waist, feeding her a bite of rice ball. Leng Ruoli gulped it down in one bite.
"What a big bite." Jiang Muye teased.
"Problem?" Leng Ruoli glanced at him.
Jiang Muye's survival instincts kicked in. "No problem, definitely no problem."
Leng Ruoli broke into a grin and directly rewarded Jiang Muye with a bite of grilled beef.
Jiang Muye ate it happily, feeling utterly content.
After walking Leng Ruoli back to her dormitory, Jiang Muye parted from her reluctantly, then returned to his own dormitory and quickly used his mind to toss that bottle of hair gel into the trash.
His wonderful date had been completely ruined by that one bottle of hair gel.
In the future, he absolutely couldn't let Leng Ruoli have an allergic reaction, otherwise even intimacy would become an obstacle.
Jiang Muye then used his mind to control a stream of water and washed his hair. Without the hair gel, it was super comfortable. This mind-controlled object manipulation was simply a must-have for lazy people.
Looking at his fresh self in the mirror, he suddenly thought of the scenes of being together with Leng Ruoli, and Jiang Muye couldn't help but laugh out loud.
He also had no way of knowing whether the teeth marks on Leng Ruoli had faded yet.
What was he supposed to do? He wanted them to disappear, yet he also wanted the teeth marks to stay on Leng Ruoli's leg for a lifetime.
Just thinking about it was exciting, and it satisfied his personal twisted taste and possessiveness.
Who wouldn't want to see a private mark on their girlfriend's body? Heh heh, and a mark he had left himself.
When Jiang Muye came out with a towel drying his hair after washing, Little White Dove had just returned from a date outside. Upon seeing Jiang Muye, he sucked in a sharp breath. "What's going on? You're super fast!"
"What the hell?" Jiang Muye looked bewildered. "What are you talking about!"
"I just ran into you downstairs. How did you get upstairs so fast?" Little White Dove was very puzzled.
"I was washing my hair. How could I be downstairs?" Jiang Muye sighed. "Are you dreaming?"
"Really! I ran into you downstairs and even greeted you, but you ignored me! I'm not blind. How could I not recognize you!" Little White Dove explained anxiously.
Old He and Kai, who had been playing games, immediately spoke up to vouch for Jiang Muye. "We can prove that Muzi was in the dorm just now. He didn't go out at all."
"What's going on? Could I have run into a ghost?" Little White Dove was instantly terrified, hugging his arms and shivering.
"I think you should stop letting your imagination run wild!" Old He cut in. "It's probably just that you saw wrong. Today isn't Qingming Festival, so why would so many ghosts be out and about!"
"It's so dark outside, you must have misjudged." Jiang Muye wrapped an arm around Little White Dove's neck. "And here I thought we were bunkmates. You can't even recognize me."
Little White Dove ruffled his hair. "Fuck, maybe I was just too tired from going out with Suya and saw wrong. It was probably someone who looks a bit like you."
"Then go to sleep early and stop talking nonsense." Jiang Muye teased.
Little White Dove took the opportunity to climb up to the top bunk and buried his head in the pillow, mumbling, "I'll just sleep for a while."
Jiang Muye didn't take Little White Dove's words to heart. It was probably just Little White Dove seeing wrong. After he finished blow-drying his hair, he simply climbed up to the top bunk and started a long phone call with Leng Ruoli.
"Good night, sleep early, don't stay up late." Hearing Leng Ruoli's soft voice, Jiang Muye was in a great mood. He curved his lips and nodded. "Okay."
Slowly, Jiang Muye drifted off to sleep as well.
The next day, sunlight spilled across the room.
Leng Ruoli was still in her dormitory organizing her bookshelf when her phone suddenly rang.
At first she thought it was Jiang Muye calling, but when she answered, she found it was a delivery person. "Miss Leng, your delivery has arrived downstairs."
Delivery?
She hadn't ordered any delivery.
Could it be that Jiang Muye had prepared it for her?
Leng Ruoli excitedly ran downstairs. Sure enough, she saw a delivery guy, and in his arms was a bouquet.
Leng Ruoli's mood was wonderful as she jogged over. "This should be my delivery, right."
"Yes." The delivery person handed the bouquet to Leng Ruoli.
Only then did Leng Ruoli realize it was the currently most popular strawberry bouquet.
Her boyfriend knew best that what she loved to eat was strawberries~
Leng Ruoli's face was filled with happiness. She took the strawberry bouquet and instinctively wanted to take a photo, when she suddenly noticed there was a card inside the strawberry bouquet.
She pulled it out excitedly.
It turned out to be a postcard with elegant handwriting.
I pretend to look around at the scenery, but my eyes are only on you—mr. Yu
Leng Ruoli was stunned.
This handwriting was clearly not Jiang Muye's. Jiang Muye's writing was more cursive, the kind that was bold and flamboyant.
And the signature was from mr. Yu.
Leng Ruoli thought back. There was no one with the surname Yu in her social circle.
Most importantly, ever since she had gotten together with someone, there weren't many suitors coming after her anymore. Although some people still confessed to her, they were all rejected by Leng Ruoli, and no one had shown up since.
Who was this person?
