Chapter 218: This Is Our Little Flirtation
"Ah?" Leng Ruoli's eyelashes fluttered.
She hadn't expected Jiang Muye to go back on his word so quickly.
"You said just one kiss," Leng Ruoli mumbled softly.
Jiang Muye burst out laughing.
He pointed a finger at Leng Ruoli's forehead and said, "What are you thinking about?"
"Ah?" Leng Ruoli replied blankly.
Jiang Muye lifted Leng Ruoli's chin and said with a grin, "We could totally play Werewolf, play Genshin Impact, play Fight the Landlord, watch movies, binge shows, even play Pictionary—there's so much we could do, and you just had to let your mind wander?"
As Jiang Muye's voice fell, Leng Ruoli's face turned bright red.
She knew she'd gotten it wrong, and her whole body felt hot enough to bubble.
Leng Ruoli raised her little pink fist and pounded Jiang Muye, "You're the one who led me into the gutter! I wasn't even thinking about anything~"
Jiang Muye enjoyed being "disciplined" by Leng Ruoli's coquettishness, nodding along, "Yes, yes, yes, it's my fault, alright?"
He kissed Leng Ruoli on the forehead and asked, "So what should we play now?"
"Cards?"
"Sure." Jiang Muye agreed right away. "I'm the God of Gamblers, you know. If you play against me, don't cry when you lose."
"I won't." Leng Ruoli shook her head with a smile.
"If we play, there should be rewards and punishments, right?" Jiang Muye narrowed his eyes meaningfully. "How about whoever loses takes off one piece of clothing?"
When Leng Ruoli heard that, her ears turned bright red, and she stretched out her foot to gently kick Jiang Muye's leg, "No, you're just bullying me. I'm only wearing one piece of pajamas, and you're fully dressed~ That's so unfair to me."
"How is it unfair? Aren't you still wearing my socks? That counts as one piece too." Jiang Muye laughed as he grabbed Leng Ruoli's little foot and kissed it by his lips.
Leng Ruoli's flushed little face looked at Jiang Muye shyly, "Isn't it smelly?"
"Smelly?" Jiang Muye lifted her foot and sniffed it. "Smells sweet."
He wasn't lying.
It really did smell quite nice, a fresh peachy fragrance.
Leng Ruoli lowered her head and, seeing Jiang Muye's shameless expression, she wanted to bury herself in the blanket right then and there.
"Alright, that punishment won't do~" Leng Ruoli whined.
Jiang Muye gave in to her, "Fine, then how do you want to do it?"
"Whoever loses gets to draw on the other's face~" Leng Ruoli looked at him and burst out laughing at something she thought of.
"You're not worried about your own delicate little face, and when it gets all covered in drawings?" Jiang Muye teased.
"I wouldn't be so sure." Leng Ruoli harrumphed.
She propped her hands on the bed, her little legs dangling over Jiang Muye's thighs.
Seeing her so relaxed and carefree, Jiang Muye shook his head, the smile in his eyes lingering, "Alright, we'll do it your way."
So the two of them started playing cards.
Before long, Leng Ruoli was thrilled, "Ah, I won~"
After she excitedly played her cards, she looked at Jiang Muye, her eyes burning.
"Wow, the God of Gamblers meets you, the Queen of Mahjong." Jiang Muye raised an eyebrow.
Leng Ruoli was very smug, "Yep~" She crooked a finger at Jiang Muye, "Come on, let me draw on you."
"Alright~" Jiang Muye cooperated fully.
He'd let Leng Ruoli win on purpose. It was just a pity that figuring out a way to let Leng Ruoli win was too hard.
After all, Leng Ruoli's card skills were terrible.
But compared to winning against Leng Ruoli over and over, making her feel bored or unhappy—well, he couldn't exactly not think of a way to make Leng Ruoli happy.
Jiang Muye brought his face closer, and Leng Ruoli, holding the marker, was especially excited. Her face was radiant as she gently drew a stroke just below Jiang Muye's nose.
As soon as she finished, Leng Ruoli smiled sweetly, unable to hold back her laughter at all.
Seeing Leng Ruoli so cheerful, Jiang Muye was in a good mood too.
"What mischief did you get up to?"
"See for yourself~" Leng Ruoli handed the phone to Jiang Muye.
Jiang Muye opened the camera mode, took a look, and started laughing too.
Leng Ruoli had drawn sideburns on his face. Jiang Muye nodded, "I never imagined I'd look so manly with a beard. Maybe I should grow one."
"No." Leng Ruoli shook her head.
"Why not? So manly." Jiang Muye nuzzled Leng Ruoli's forehead.
Leng Ruoli reached out and gently pinched Jiang Muye's cheek, saying, "It'd be prickly. No~"
"Alright, I'll listen to you."
Jiang Muye figured Leng Ruoli's skin was quite delicate—it wouldn't do to hurt her with stubble.
So Jiang Muye continued playing cards with Leng Ruoli.
Of course, the next few rounds he let Leng Ruoli win again.
Leng Ruoli was very excited, and she added several more strokes to Jiang Muye's face with the pen.
Jiang Muye checked with his phone again and didn't know whether to laugh or cry, "Have mercy on me, would you? I'm a CEO, you know, I represent the company's corporate image. If my subordinates saw this, they'd laugh themselves to death."
"Your subordinates can't see you~ There's no CEO here, only my boyfriend! Only I get to see what you look like right now~" Leng Ruoli was all sweetness.
She was like a ripe peach, deliciously sweet as she nestled in Jiang Muye's arms, smiling.
Jiang Muye lowered his head and kissed her.
Leng Ruoli giggled, her fingers playfully wiping at the marker on Jiang Muye's face. After it smeared, she joked, "Now there's a gradient~"
Jiang Muye tightened his arms around Leng Ruoli's slender waist and begged playfully, "Wifey, let me win just once~"
"How could I throw the game? Hmph." Leng Ruoli was quite proud.
"If you always win, I don't get any game experience at all. So pitiful." Jiang Muye deliberately teased her.
Leng Ruoli rolled her eyes, thought for a moment, and said, "Depends on how you perform. Let's play again."
So as Jiang Muye played cards with Leng Ruoli, he noticed her little schemes.
She said she wouldn't let him win.
But she racked her brains to let him win. She could have won long ago, but she just wouldn't play her cards.
She even deliberately glanced at Jiang Muye's hand, and after Jiang Muye's gaze met hers, Leng Ruoli looked away again, pretending she wasn't peeking.
Jiang Muye smiled to himself: Her acting is pretty bad.
He was afraid that if Leng Ruoli really debuted and returned to the entertainment industry in the future, unless he invested in films for her himself, probably no one would hire her to act.
Since his own wife was deliberately letting him win, he stopped acting.
He just laid his cards on the table and won against Leng Ruoli.
"Alright, I won, I get to draw on you." Jiang Muye picked up the marker.
"Ah, okay." Leng Ruoli still pretended to be surprised.
Jiang Muye wanted to laugh.
Actually, all her little schemes were seen right through by Jiang Muye.
Leng Ruoli had already tilted her little face up. She was clearly a bit nervous, her eyes slightly open, and she gently reminded Jiang Muye, "Spare me~"
"Depends on my mood." Jiang Muye held back his laughter and put on a show of being a real pro, which made Leng Ruoli a little scared.
