Chapter 233: I Beg You, Give It to Me, Won't You?
Yu Xi had celebrated too early. Did he really think Jiang Muye hadn't found his weak spot?
Yes, Yu Xi's fatal weakness was asthma.
And a severe case at that.
The corners of Jiang Muye's mouth curved upward. For now, he was only probing with a simple telekinetic grip, but Yu Xi's reaction had already given him a definitive answer.
Yu Xi now looked like a hideous clown. The moment he saw the asthma spray, he went mad trying to snatch it away.
But how could Jiang Muye possibly grant Yu Xi's wish? He raised the bottle of asthma spray high, looking down coldly at Yu Xi's agonized expression. "If you want it, you'll have to beg me."
Yu Xi was in extreme agony now. His body and mind felt as if they were being viciously stabbed, riddled with holes, yet there was nothing he could do.
His rapid breathing was a constant reminder of how weak he was.
Yet the boy before him was looking down at him from above, not even a trace of pity, which filled Yu Xi with a bitter refusal to accept what was happening.
But he had no choice.
Without the spray, he would die!!!
Jiang Muye could already see Yu Xi's blood vessels bulging, his face contorted with pain as his veins stood out. Yet he didn't soften in the slightest.
He knew very well—mercy to an enemy was cruelty to oneself.
Yu Xi felt the blood throbbing madly at his temples, his throat clamped shut, thin wisps of air barely sipped in, yet none of it brought him even a bit of relief.
His fingers pressed desperately at his throat. He could clearly feel the despair of suffocation. Cold sweat was already trickling down his skin, making Yu Xi gasp frantically like a madman.
Yu Xi doubled over, a hideous and terrifying sight.
To relieve the pain wracking his body, he began rolling on the ground. But rolling was useless—it brought him not a fraction of relief. Instead, it made it even harder for Yu Xi to breathe.
Yu Xi's face was already flushed red. Now his eyes were full of the yearning for life, pinning all his hope on that bottle of spray in Jiang Muye's hand.
"Please, please, just give it to me, okay?" Tears were already welling in Yu Xi's eyes. He lay prostrate on the ground, desperately clutching at Jiang Muye's pant leg.
Jiang Muye raised an eyebrow, looking at Yu Xi. "I don't think your begging is sincere enough."
"I was wrong, I'm sorry, just give me the spray… give it to me…" Yu Xi sobbed, his voice trembling.
Watching Yu Xi consumed by pain, miserable beyond measure, Jiang Muye's own pleasure surged in turn.
Naturally, he didn't want to cause an actual death.
Of course, he wouldn't pity Yu Xi either.
"Are you still going to interfere in my relationship with Ruoli? Still going to sow discord?" Jiang Muye asked, chin lifted.
Yu Xi was already somewhat delirious. His hands clutched at Jiang Muye's pant leg, desperately trying to pull Jiang Muye down and snatch that bottle of spray.
Yet Jiang Muye was not moved in the slightest by Yu Xi's pitiful appearance. He snapped, "Answer me!"
"I… won't anymore… wuu wuu, give it to me, please give it to me…" The once-arrogant Yu Xi was now utterly humble before Jiang Muye.
Only after Jiang Muye saw his goal achieved did he toss the asthma spray to Yu Xi.
Yu Xi grabbed the spray in an instant and took several deep puffs. Only then did Yu Xi feel his breathing ease, his complexion shifting from that hideous crimson to a much more normal flush.
"How did you know I have asthma?" Yu Xi asked through gritted teeth.
But Jiang Muye just smiled. "There's a lot I know that you don't. I know you like the back of my hand, so if you're smart, you'll keep your tail tucked between your legs."
Yu Xi's brows knitted tightly.
He had never mentioned his asthma to anyone, and it wasn't recorded in his school files either. By all logic, Jiang Muye shouldn't have been able to find out.
Yet now Jiang Muye had seen through to his asthma and was even using it to threaten him.
Jiang Muye observed Yu Xi's condition without any change in expression. "I'm not someone you can mess with. This is only the beginning. But if you keep provoking me, I will absolutely not let you off as easily as I did today."
Jiang Muye gave a lazy smile and turned to walk away.
Bedraggled, Yu Xi bit his thin lips with a bitter refusal to accept what was happening. His eyes were full of jealous hatred.
He had originally intended to give Jiang Muye a show of authority, but who would have thought the show of authority would fail and he'd end up dragging himself down instead.
Thinking back to the scene of Jiang Muye threatening him, Yu Xi was furious.
That strange gust of wind just now had really been too weird—it was as if it had been deliberately aimed at him.
It still left Yu Xi with a lingering fear.
But Yu Xi would absolutely not let it end here. He didn't believe even the weather was helping Jiang Muye. Next time, Jiang Muye would no longer encounter such good fortune.
After pranking Yu Xi, Jiang Muye felt refreshed and invigorated.
Earlier, he had grown suspicious because Yu Xi always dressed neatly and cleanly, and most importantly, never wore those woolen coats.
Especially when he noticed Yu Xi used a lint roller. Even the most obsessive neat freak wouldn't use that thing at all times—unless Yu Xi had a fatal weakness, namely asthma.
Now that this was confirmed, even if Yu Xi didn't leave, Jiang Muye could toy with Yu Xi however he pleased.
With that thought, Jiang Muye felt utterly elated. He bought himself an ice cream and cheerfully ate it all the way back.
But on the way back, he ran into his own girlfriend.
Leng Ruoli was carrying a laptop, wearing a gray JK sweater with a plaid pleated skirt, the very picture of a youthful beauty.
Of course, her curvy figure was hard to conceal.
However he looked at it, it felt stacked.
Heh heh, but he had exclusive firsthand verification.
Jiang Muye had seen the view beneath Leng Ruoli's skirt—how tempting it was.
Especially after getting a taste, it was even more unforgettable.
"Where are you headed?" Jiang Muye asked, eyes brightening, in a pleased mood.
"I'm going to the library to write my paper. But in such cold weather, you're eating ice cream—aren't you afraid of a stomachache?" Leng Ruoli cooed softly and sweetly.
"I can handle it. My stomach's tough as nails," Jiang Muye said proudly.
Leng Ruoli harrumphed. "And who was it that got gastroenteritis last time?"
"That was an exception, and it healed real fast too. How about you take a bite? It's really good." Jiang Muye grinned, bringing the ice cream to Leng Ruoli's lips.
Leng Ruoli, coaxed into taking a bite, was just about to when Jiang Muye, at the moment it reached her lips, mischievously pulled the ice cream back into his own mouth.
Leng Ruoli didn't get a bite, so she puffed out her cheeks and shot Jiang Muye a glare.
Jiang Muye just laughed. "You can't handle it. Your stomach will hurt in a bit."
"Double standard," Leng Ruoli said, turning her face away and pretending to be angry.
Actually, she just wanted him to coax her.
Watching Leng Ruoli's huffy appearance, Jiang Muye wasn't the least bit anxious—in fact, he found her like this quite adorable.
Angry at him—damn, it felt great.
Haha, though it kind of made you want to hit him, that was just the truth of it.
Jiang Muye leaned close to Leng Ruoli's left shoulder and gently blew a puff of air. "Not angry anymore, okay? Hmm? I'll let you have a bite."
