Chapter 434: First Love Boyfriend
Rejected 99 Times, the Aloof Campus Belle Comes On Strong
Boss Cutie
Just when Jiang Muye was about to get so bored that he dozed off, Leng Ruoli, who was in the middle of her manicure, noticed something was off about him and instinctively looked over at him. "Are you really bored? How about you head out first? I still need a while before I'm done."
He really was bored, but Jiang Muye couldn't just up and leave her behind. What kind of behavior would that be?
Jiang Muye shook his head at Leng Ruoli. "It's fine, let me go buy you a milk tea. You're thirsty, aren't you?"
In the end, Leng Ruoli, whose hands were both occupied with her manicure, instinctively nuzzled her head against Jiang Muye's lower abdomen, rub, rub, rub.
"Mmm, you're so good."
Jiang Muye reached out and rubbed the back of Leng Ruoli's head. "You just sit tight and get it done here. I'll go take a stroll outside."
This was the perfect chance to step out and catch his breath.
Leng Ruoli's eyes curved into crescents as she nodded at Jiang Muye. "Okay~"
After soothing his girlfriend, Jiang Muye headed out.
The entire street outside the nail salon was lined with milk tea shops.
Jiang Muye knew that Leng Ruoli loved A Little Bit the most, so without a shred of hesitation, he headed straight for the A Little Bit storefront.
There weren't many people at the milk tea shop, and Jiang Muye quickly reached the front of the line to order.
After buying Leng Ruoli the Coco Ballet she always ordered, he bought himself a cup of Cloud Passionfruit Green.
Just as Jiang Muye was about to pull out his phone to scan the code and pay, a phone was already there ahead of him, scanning the code.
Ding.
Jiang Muye looked over at the other party in surprise.
"We meet again."
Backlit by the light, the woman's fair skin and red lips were clear and vivid.
She gazed at Jiang Muye, the corners of her lips curving.
Jiang Muye's throat tightened. "Aren't you that day's gold—"
"Hm?" The other party's slender brows arched slightly.
"No." Jiang Muye had almost blurted out the matter of the System's identification.
"Last time you helped me out, so this time the milk tea's on me," Xiang Shan said, the corner of her mouth lifting.
But Jiang Muye refused with utter seriousness. "Sorry, I have to pay you back the money."
He took out his wallet and instinctively handed thirty yuan to Xiang Shan. "Here."
"Why?" This caught Xiang Shan completely by surprise.
If it were any other guy, they'd be dying to get tangled up with her, taking whatever advantage they could get, but Jiang Muye was completely different from everyone else.
"Last time I helped you, you already treated me to coffee once. We're even," Jiang Muye said meaningfully.
Xiang Shan let out a light laugh. "Then consider it a gift from me."
"No." Jiang Muye refused.
But Xiang Shan didn't take the bill from Jiang Muye. Instead, she turned toward the menu. "Then buy me a cup. I'm thirsty too."
Jiang Muye didn't refuse. He nodded in agreement. "Fine, what do you want to drink?"
As he was about to place Xiang Shan's order, he could feel her leaning in close, her breath teasing at Jiang Muye.
Her fingers, done up in French nails, lightly tapped Jiang Muye's phone screen.
Jiang Muye looked up, and the other party's face really did give him a sense of familiarity.
Really familiar, so familiar, she resembled someone.
But Jiang Muye couldn't put his finger on it.
"Mm-hm, place the order," Xiang Shan hummed.
"Okay." Jiang Muye paid.
The two of them waited in front of A Little Bit for a while. The drinks were coming out a bit slowly, and it still wasn't their turn.
Just as Jiang Muye was waiting patiently, a tall figure suddenly appeared in front of Xiang Shan.
"Hey, aren't you Xiang Shan?" a surprised voice rang out.
Jiang Muye noticed a burly, bearded uncle staring excitedly at Xiang Shan.
Xiang Shan was taken aback, and then her expression darkened with obvious displeasure.
Jiang Muye was puzzled. What's going on?
He felt a subtle shift in the atmosphere spreading between them.
Xiang Shan clearly had no intention of paying him any mind, turning her back to him. "Don't bother me."
But this uncle had not even a trace of intention of giving up, continuing to strike up a conversation with Xiang Shan. "What's the matter, you're going to pretend you don't know me? I was your first love, I never forgot you even after you went abroad."
Xiang Shan was extremely annoyed. That was her dark history.
This first love of hers was clingy, and he was the one she hated most. Back then, he'd taken advantage of her youth to trick her into a relationship, and once she matured, she regretted ever dating him.
Jiang Muye pretty much understood now. This person was Xiang Shan's first-love ex-boyfriend.
Now it was a reunion after many years, and this guy was pestering Xiang Shan again.
"This the new one you found? Robbing the cradle, huh? Why do I feel like he looks a bit familiar, like I've seen him somewhere before." The uncle stroked his chin, trying to think of where he'd seen Jiang Muye, but Jiang Muye cursed back in displeasure. "What's it to you? Don't assume everyone thinks the same filthy way you do just because you do."
"Quite the fiery temper." The uncle was clearly unhappy. "The salt I've eaten is more than the rice you've eaten!"
Jiang Muye raised his head and said coldly, "If you've eaten too much salt, you'd better pay more attention to your health. Too much oil and salt means premature aging, premature ejaculation, and premature death."
"Pfft." Xiang Shan, startled by Jiang Muye's bold words, burst out laughing.
She'd originally been quite annoyed at meeting her scumbag first love, but now there was an unexpected gain.
The uncle had originally wanted to get back together with his first-love ex, but now this brat had shown up and ruined everything. The uncle definitely didn't want to come off as the loser.
So the uncle got very angry and instinctively raised his arm to grab Jiang Muye's shirt with a vicious grip. The force was so great that Jiang Muye's shirt button was ripped right off.
But Jiang Muye was no pushover either.
Ruining the new clothes he'd just bought—absolutely unforgivable!
Without another word, Jiang Muye threw the uncle with a shoulder throw.
Xiang Shan had originally wanted to teach this scumbag a lesson, but then she discovered someone had already stepped in.
Jiang Muye was fast.
He made his move right at the shop's front door, and he didn't take even the slightest loss. Within moments, he had the uncle completely dazed.
Jiang Muye stood there like a crane among chickens, ice and killing intent in his eyes.
Without hesitation, he grabbed the milk tea on the table that hadn't been capped yet and splashed it right on the uncle's face. "Get lost."
Just looking at that cup of milk tea made Xiang Shan feel the heat, let alone having it splashed on the scumbag's face.
The uncle got a face full of it, his face scalded red and swollen.
After letting out a heart-rending scream, he looked at Jiang Muye's heroic, cold demeanor and knew this guy was not to be trifled with. Then he looked at his first-love ex, who was clearly repulsed by him, and saw that no one around wanted to help him. There was nothing to be done about it—he could only slink away in disgrace.
"Thank you." After Jiang Muye chased the man off, a sincere voice spoke up.
Jiang Muye looked toward the voice and saw Xiang Shan with gentle eyes.
She smiled faintly, her gaze full of appreciation. "Not bad skills. You've trained?"
