"Mom, I can understand how you feel. Your intentions were good, you just picked the wrong person. That maternity nurse you hired isn't reliable. Why would someone with an overseas study background, a young returnee, come to serve people as a maternity nurse? Isn't this just her using the opportunity as a springboard?" Jiang Muye raised an eyebrow.

Xiang Shan, who had been fuming a moment ago, went pale. "She… wanting to build some connections and resources is normal. Besides, the salary for a maternity nurse isn't low, and this kind of work is pretty stable for a young girl."

Jiang Muye shook his head and instinctively pulled out his phone, sending Xiang Shan the information. "This is the maternity nurse's file that I had investigated just now. She worked for the employer before last. Why was she fired midway? Because she got caught in bed with the employer by his wife."

Xiang Shan had still been angry, thinking Jiang Muye was deliberately targeting her, but after seeing the information he sent, she was stunned.

It really was true. Jiang Muye wasn't just randomly slandering the maternity nurse, this had actually happened.

"I'm sorry. I didn't understand the situation and made things worse, then took it out on you." Xiang Shan immediately apologized to Jiang Muye.

Jiang Muye looked at Xiang Shan's deeply guilty expression, and his original displeasure slowly dissipated.

"Mom, we're family now. I hope you can trust me. I know you were thinking of her, but I have my own considerations and judgments too. I won't do anything to harm my darling." Jiang Muye responded to Xiang Shan sincerely.

Seeing that Jiang Muye wasn't holding it against her, Xiang Shan's face grew hot. She coughed. "Right, it was my fault. I'll fire this unreliable maternity nurse right away. Absolutely can't keep her!"

Leng Ruoli, however, looked at Jiang Muye in surprise. "Darling, how on earth did you see through this maternity nurse?"

The corners of Jiang Muye's mouth curled up involuntarily. "The fact that I could get you as my wife proves my judgment is pretty good. If I didn't have an exceptional eye, I wouldn't be sitting in the CEO's chair right now."

Jiang Muye actually wasn't joking. Even without the System, relying on carefully sensing things, he could still tell who was black and who was white.

Leng Ruoli held Jiang Muye's hand and apologized. "Darling, your judgment is excellent. It's just that my mom is too domineering, but she doesn't have a bad heart. She was only trying to find me a good maternity nurse. Don't be angry."

"I'm not angry, it's fine. I understand her personality. I still can't quite love the house for the crow, just because you're especially fond of her, but I can still accept her and not turn against her." Jiang Muye spoke his true thoughts to Leng Ruoli with complete sincerity.

Leng Ruoli spoke earnestly as well. "I'll have a good talk with her and try my best not to let something like this happen again."

"Alright, none of this is anything you need to worry about. Right now, don't think about anything, just focus on nourishing your pregnancy." Jiang Muye lowered his head and pressed his face against Leng Ruoli's belly. "We just wait for our baby to be born. Whatever needs to be handled, I'll take care of it for you."

Leng Ruoli immediately laughed out loud and nodded earnestly. "Yeah, you're a very thoughtful husband. You know exactly what should and shouldn't be done, as if this isn't your first time being a dad."
