Lin Qi and Yuyao stepped onto the Cloud Chariot one after the other.
The Cloud Chariot flickered. Amidst the misty, illusionary clouds, a Golden Dragon that seemed utterly real roared, pulling the Cloud Chariot as it climbed toward the infinite heights.
Everything around them began to rapidly descend and recede.

Fairy Yunhuang gestured for the two to step down from the Cloud Chariot and walk into the Cloud-Top Heavenly Palace before them.
Lin Qi and Yuyao followed readily, descending from the Cloud Chariot and continuing forward with Fairy Yunhuang.
The Cloud-Top Heavenly Palace before them was like a dream, seemingly built entirely from white clouds.
Soft as cotton candy, trembling with a duang duang at a single breeze.
But in reality, it was extremely tough.
And besides the clouds that filled the sky, the interior and exterior of the Cloud-Top Heavenly Palace were filled with pools of water, large and small.
Before each pool stood a fairy, like a holy statue, gaze unwavering, wholly focused as she looked down upon the water.
Occasionally, one or two fairies would reach out and scatter flower petals into the pools, proving that the fairies before these pools were not statues.
But living beings.
“What are they doing?”
Lin Qi was surprised and asked curiously.
“Fellow Daoist may regard each pool as a Water Mirror surveilling a small world.”
“They interfere and maintain the normal operation of each small world according to the Lady’s will.”
Fairy Yunhuang’s explanation made Lin Qi’s eyes widen in sudden understanding. His mind stirred, and he spoke again.
“Then is the Earth I was previously on also under the management of this Cloud-Top Heavenly Palace?”
Fairy Yunhuang gave a slight nod and pointed deeper into the palace walls, further within the white clouds.
“Fellow Daoist’s Dream Hometown is permanently preserved by the Lady’s special decree.”
“It is not here.”
“It should be within the Lady’s Immortal Herb Garden.”
