Chapter 445: "Family Law"

Rejected 99 Times, the Aloof Campus Belle Comes On Strong

Boss Cutie

"There's no way it's that serious. Water you fight over always tastes a bit better," Jiang Muye said with a chuckle.

Leng Ruoli wrapped both arms around Jiang Muye's neck and nestled against his cheek. "You're the only one who gets to bully me like this. Nobody else has such a good temper, so you'd better cherish me."

"Who says that? I don't think there are many girls with bad tempers these days." Jiang Muye smirked. "And you? Do you have a good temper? I never noticed."

"You!" Leng Ruoli patted Jiang Muye's shoulder and gave a coquettish huff. "Just keep roasting me."

"Look at you, losing the argument and going straight to your hands. Ah, my life really is hard. But I suppose I'm doing justice on heaven's behalf and just taking you in."

His words left Leng Ruoli not knowing whether to laugh or cry. "Am I really that unwanted? A Senior came looking for me a couple days ago to confess his feelings."

"Holy shit, who?!" The moment Jiang Muye heard this, he instantly lost it. "You're a girl with a boyfriend! No, wait, a fiancé! We're getting married in the future!"

He'd been joking a second ago, but now he turned serious.

Leng Ruoli giggled so hard she nearly collapsed onto the steps.

Seeing how thoroughly amused she was, Jiang Muye pressed in close. "Well? You still haven't said anything? Confess and it'll go easy on you, resist and it'll go hard. Do you want the family punishment?"

Leng Ruoli shook her little face back and forth, shooting Jiang Muye a thoroughly pitiful look. "I know I was wrong, and I want to confess too, but I don't know who it was."

"Then how do you know he was a Senior?" Jiang Muye narrowed his eyes, unconvinced.

As punishment, he leaned in and bit her lip. When he saw it turn red under his bite and heard her give a little yelp, he finally felt a bit appeased.

"He said he was a third-year, and beyond that I really don't know anything. After all, apart from my fiancé, why would I care about anyone else?" Leng Ruoli gave Jiang Muye a faint smile, obedient as could be.

That single sentence hit Jiang Muye right in the heart.

Man, that felt good.

"I freaking love that about you. In the future, forget every unimportant guy except me." Jiang Muye spoke domineeringly. "And no casual contact with other boys."

"Fine. Look, since we started dating, have I ever been close to another boy? I have a strong sense of boundaries. You, on the other hand, have so many beauties around you." Leng Ruoli grumbled.

"Beauties? Where?"

"The one who bought you clothes, obviously. You even picked up her earring. In an idol drama, that's a classic chance-encounter scene. Or maybe it's fate." Leng Ruoli sniffed.

When he heard this, Jiang Muye found it hilarious.

"Look at somebody claiming she doesn't care, saying she isn't thinking about it, but I smell a huge cloud of vinegar." Jiang Muye flicked Leng Ruoli's small, delicate nose.

Leng Ruoli's little face flushed red. "See, I don't even care about Mi Lu and sister Shirley. It's just that you and that young lady run into each other way too coincidentally. Every few days you bump into each other again. It just feels too strange to me."

Jiang Muye nodded. "It really is strange. So this must be heaven arranging for me to meet her again."

The moment those words left his mouth, Leng Ruoli's gaze turned resentful.

She reached out and lightly pinched Jiang Muye's ear. "Hm? What did you just say?!"

Seeing her come to demand an explanation, Jiang Muye laughed merrily. "Haha, I said heaven arranged for me to meet her. Didn't you say that in idol dramas, that's fate?"

Jiang Muye grabbed the hand twisting his ear and began rubbing it vigorously.

Leng Ruoli was furious, her cheeks puffed out. "You're really getting carried away now, aren't you! So you don't plan on keeping this girlfriend anymore, is that it?"

Leng Ruoli sulked and instinctively tried to get up.

Her foot was injured, so walking down was very inconvenient—she limped and staggered.

Seeing this, Jiang Muye immediately ran up to her. "Don't go. I don't want you as a girlfriend, but I do want you as my fiancée, my future wife!"

"You big pig trotter. Sister Mi Lu said men's sweet talk can't be trusted." Leng Ruoli wasn't especially angry. She looked calm on the surface, but in reality her heart was blooming with joy.

Jiang Muye spoke to Leng Ruoli with the utmost sincerity. "Look, Mi Lu has never even been in a relationship. Why would you believe what she says? Everyone complains that I'm a straight-shooting guy. Do you really think I pour sweet talk on everyone?"

Jiang Muye really didn't know how to do sweet talk, but once he fell in love, he couldn't help but learn.

What was he supposed to do? A few words could avoid a few world wars. Are you going to learn or not?

Being an unyielding straight man only leaves you in the wrong. Sometimes you have to learn to be a bit clever.

A boy in a relationship—what's wrong with saying a few sweet words to his girlfriend? His mouth won't rot, and besides… heh heh, he gets to kiss sweet, fragrant lips and grope and touch all he wants. How great was that?

Jiang Muye gazed at Leng Ruoli with burning eyes, and she smiled along with it. "Alright, I was just teasing you. Did you really think I was jealous? Looks like my acting really is good."

Jiang Muye os: I believe you, my ass!

After fooling around with Leng Ruoli for a while, Jiang Muye began carrying her on his back up the mountain.

By the time they reached the summit, it was already dusk. The air on the mountain was truly fresh, wildflowers all around, their fragrance pleasant. The whole feeling was something you couldn't get in the city.

Especially looking down from the summit—you could see the vast world.

On the other side, the endless stream of traffic was shrouded in the fiery clouds of dusk. It was truly beautiful.

Leng Ruoli was already sitting on a nearby rock. Seeing the pretty scenery below, she was overjoyed. "So pretty!"

"Be careful, don't fall." Jiang Muye was very worried about Leng Ruoli, afraid she'd lose her footing and tumble down, and then everything would be ruined.

Leng Ruoli burst out laughing. "I'm not that clumsy."

"I hope so. Alright, now I'll set up the tent for you so we don't end up lying in the grass later." Jiang Muye volunteered and started pitching the tent.

It was also his first time setting up a tent. He'd never done this before.

While Jiang Muye was fumbling around, Leng Ruoli crouched beside him and instinctively nodded. "This pole goes here."

"How do you know that? Have you camped with someone before?" Jiang Muye sounded a bit sour.

Leng Ruoli smiled with a faint smile. She stuck out her tongue and reached out to gently pinch Jiang Muye's cheek, and his whole body nearly went weak.

"See, you're jealous right now, heh heh. You're my first love, so who could I have come with? With you, it's my first time." Leng Ruoli's little face was bright red, but facing Jiang Muye it was obviously bright red, utterly embarrassing.

When Jiang Muye heard Leng Ruoli's words, he was secretly delighted.

Who wouldn't want to be their girlfriend's first man?
