Privacy Policy

Who we are
TRINT Novels runs this website, a free site for reading novels. For any question or request about privacy, email the address at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
You don't need an account to read, and we never ask for your name, email or anything else about you.
- Reading statistics. When a chapter is opened, we add one to a daily total for that novel. We store only the novel, the date and the number: never who read it, your IP address, or anything about your device.
- Settings kept in your browser. Your theme, font, text size, layout and the last chapter you read are saved in your own browser's local storage so the site remembers them. They are never sent to us. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Server logs. Like every website, our server records basic technical details of each request (IP address, page requested, time and browser type) so we can keep the site secure, stop automated copying of our novels and fix errors. We keep these on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website. They are kept only briefly and are deleted automatically as newer entries replace them. We don't use them to track or profile anyone.
Advertising
To keep the site free, we use Google AdSense to show ads. When ads are shown:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- If you're in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your permission before cookies are used for ads. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy Choices link at the bottom of the home page. Without your permission, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
Google is responsible for how it uses this information, as explained in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. We only ever see totals from Google, such as how many ads were shown, never anything that identifies you.
What we don't do
- No analytics or tracking scripts of our own, and no third-party embeds apart from the ads described above. Fonts and images for the site itself are served from our own server.
- We don't sell, rent or share personal data.
Where the site is hosted
The site runs on a server in Iceland, which is in the European Economic Area.
Children
The site has no accounts or sign-up and doesn't collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and object to its use. Because we don't hold data that identifies readers there is usually nothing to return or delete, but you can still contact us and we will reply within one month. For information Google holds about you, use the links in the Advertising section. If you're unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this changes (for example, if we add accounts), we will update this page before the change goes live and change the date above.
